Made from a blending of the semaphores for N (flags held at 4 and 8 o'clock) and D (flags held at 12 and 6 o'clock), it migrated to the US in the 60's and gained a broader definition as a symbol of peace. It has become one of the most widely known symbols in the world. Our Peace Chime incorporates the peace symbol in a stunning flame-finish stainless steel windcatcher. In keeping with the theme, the chime is precision-tuned to the notes of the second line (and let it begin with me) from the popular hymn Let There Be Peace on Earth.
