The See All SS20 convex mirror is a circular, convex, stainless steel mirror, with a 20" diameter, that reflects a wide angle image at a diminished size to extend a field of view to help a person see around obstacles for safety, or monitor a wide area for efficient surveillance. It is made of a 20-gauge, grade 304 stainless steel substrate for resistance to heat and impact in hazardous industrial applications, and is nickel- and chrome-plated for a corrosion and weather resistant surface that reflects a clear, bright image. (Gauge is a measure of thickness; the lower the gauge, the thicker the material.) The mirror comes with a swivel mounting bracket that makes the mirror adjustable to a wide range of angles. The 20" diameter size is suitable for areas up to 18' away from the mirror. It has a stainless steel backing for resistance to impact, fatigue, and wear in indoor applications.
Safety mirrors are used to help increase visibility in a variety of locations; for example, in hallway intersections and sharp turns, and in driveways and loading docks where drivers have to back up or enter traffic.
