Norpro Cast Iron Pig Shaped Bacon Press with Wood Handle

Measures: 8.25" x 5" x 3” / 21cm x 13cm x 7.5cm Even the best cut bacon can curl, making it difficult to cook evenly.  Our Pig-Shaped Cast Iron Grill Press flattens the bacon, keeping its shape for even cooking. Features a wooden handle that stays cool to the touch. Ideal for bacon, ham, grilled sandwiches, hamburgers and quesadillas. Or use as a steak weight! In a skillet on the stovetop or outside on the grill! Includes instructions for seasoning before use, cleaning and storage. Hand wash, rinse thoroughly and dry with a paper towel - never soak cast iron. Before Use: Wash in warm, soapy water. Rinse and dry thoroughly. Put a small amount of vegetable oil in fry pan. Lightly coat Bacon Press with vegetable oil. Place face down in fry pan. Heat over very low heat for 20 minutes. Wipe off excess oil with paper towel. Your Bacon Press is now seasoned and ready for use. (Caution: Do not use in a nonstick fry pan as it may scratch the finish.) Cleaning & Storage: After each use, wash and dry thoroughly and lightly re-coat with vegetable oil before storing. If there are signs of rust then re-season by following the steps above.
