A good quality wax brush is one of the best investments you can make when refinishing furniture or restoring antiques. Paint&Wax Brushes are made from the finest White China Bristles securely epoxied into a durable, plated ferrule. The brushes are completed with a natural beaver-tail handle for maximum comfort, no matter how you grip your brush during the paint or wax application process. Our brushes are made right here in the U.S.A. by expert craftsman (men and women) and were designed for use with any type of natural based paint or waxes, including CeCe Caldwell's, Annie Sloan, Fat Paint, Van Gogh, or American Paint, and their wax finishing products, as well as the various brands of milk and mineral paints. Paint&Wax Brushes are also perfectly suited for applying softer, solvent based furniture waxes for refinishing or antique restoration. Our Paint&Wax Medium brush measures 8 1/2 inches in length, including the contoured 5 1/4 inch beaver tail handle. The oval head measures 1 5/8 x 1 3/8 inches, with 2 inches of dense, firmly epoxied white china bristles. The brush has a hand crafted chiseled bristle head, making it appropriate for both paint and wax application. Cleaning tips: While we rarely clean our wax brushes, a quick cleaning with an oil soap helps to condition the bristles like you would condition your own hair. Put a nickel-sized drop in your palm and work the wet brush into your hand until the brush suds and you see the bristles are clean. Rinse well and wrap your brush in paper (construction or kraft paper works best but paper towels will do) and allow to thoroughly dry before use. If a deep cleaning soak in mineral spirits is necessary, rinse with lacquer thinner after soaking to remove the oily residue and finally clean with soap and water.
