This long-term antifreeze / coolant is exclusively formulated and produced for BMW to protect your engine year round when used as directed. It fulfills the very high standards and requirements set by BMW to help protect the engine against freezing, boilover, corrosion and excessive silicate gel precipitation. This ethylene glycol- based antifreeze contains no nitrites or phosphates, greatly reducing the possibility of harmful deposit formation. BMW antifreeze provides protection for metals such as cast iron, steel and aluminum. For best year-round protection and performance, mix one part BMW antifreeze with one part water. This 50/50 mixture provides corrosion and freezing protection down to -34F (-37C). During winters in extremely cold areas, the mixture can be increased to a ratio of 60% antifreeze / 40% water which provides freezing protection down to -62F (-52C) . Do not exceed an antifreeze percentage of 60% Contains Corrosion Inhibitors, Defoamers, Silicates, Dyes and this product contains a bittering agent
