This 53" x 45" Universal chair mat has clear polyvinyl chloride (PVC) construction, a cleated base, and a lip for carpet protection. The chair mat provides a smooth rolling surface for chairs with rubber or plastic casters while helping protect carpeting from wheel damage. The chair mat is designed for use on low to medium pile carpeting up to 3/8" thick, and it has a lip for carpet coverage when a chair is pulled up under a desk. Clear for carpet visibility through the mat, it is made out of lightweight PVC to provide high strength and to resist corrosion and water damage. Cleats on the chair mat's base grip the carpet to help prevent the mat from sliding during chair movement. The mat measures 53" x 45" (L x W). (L is length, the horizontal distance from front to back; W is width, the horizontal distance from left to right.) The chair mat's lip measures 25" x 12". The chair mat is suitable for use under desks, tables, and counters in office or household environments, among other applications.
