Quick Overview
This Metro Deep Ledge Series utility cart has four swivel casters, two black HDPE (high-density polyethylene) shelves with ledges, a U-shaped chrome handle, and chrome posts, and is suitable for sorting, storing, and transporting items. The shelves are made of the polymer HDPE for strength and resistance to moisture, solvents, corrosion, and rot. The shelves have 2-3/4-inch/70 mm ledges to help contain products or liquid spills, and the handle is ergonomically positioned at 41 inches/1041 mm to help minimize strain while pushing the cart. The handle and the posts are made of chrome for durability and to resist dirt buildup and corrosion. Tapered split sleeves on the posts help hold and support the shelves. This utility cart has four 4-inch/102 mm thermoplastic swivel casters for mobility. Rounded corners on the shelves and rubber donut bumpers on the casters help protect walls and furniture from damage. This cart is NSF International-certified for food equipment for all environments (including refrigerators, freezers, and warewashing areas). It is typically used in the food service, healthcare, and commercial products industries, but can be used for other applications to sort, store, and dispense items.
The assembled utility cart is 41 x 21-1/2 x 32-3/4 inches/1041 X 546 x 831 mm (H x W x L). (H is height, the vertical distance from lowest to highest point; W is width, the horizontal distance from left to right; L is length, the horizontal distance from front to back.) It has a 150 lb./68 kg per shelf capacity, and total capacity should not to exceed 400 lb./181 kg. This cart requires assembly and comes with instructions. No tools are required for assembly, but a rubber mallet (sold separately) is recommended.
