Specialty 231 prelude entrance mat. Prelude is a scraper mat made up of a coarse loop-twisted non-absorbent fiber that can be placed outside the entrance to begin the removal of dirt and debris from foot traffic. These aggressive fibers resist crushing while entrapping debris and preventing it from entering the facility. This mat can be used as part of the coordinated "Stages" series. A heavyweight vinyl non-slip backing ensures minimum movement. Recommended and approved product as a part of the GreenTRAX program for "Green Cleaning" environments (when used as part of the "Stages" system). Test - Test Description - Results: (1) Abrasion Resistance ASTM D3884-01 - Test specimen is subjected to the rubbing action of two abrading wheels under controlled conditions. Results measured in Weight loss (Grams) - 1.00. (2) Accelerated Wear - Test specimen is subjected to the action of rollers under a specified load. Sample is rotated 10 degree after each pass. Results measured in thickness loss (percent) - 26.90 percent. (3) Accelerated Soiling ASTM D6540-00 - Test specimen is subjected to an accelerated soiling process. for a predetermined length of time. The sample is vacuumed, rated, submitted to an extraction device, then rated again. - (Based on visual inspection) 3-4 - Vacuum Rating 5 - Rating After Extraction.
