Solid cast aluminum construction completely encases the receiver

heavy duty aircraft aluminum housing covers entire coupler head. Strong heat-treated steel pin 5/8" diameter extends to the top of hitch ball hole. When unit is locked, the pin is completely surrounded by the heavy metal housing. Lock tumbler mechanism is recessed into front of housing and surrounded by heavy metal.
